It is written in the Bible, the Word of God, in the second book of Peter, "First, I want to remind you that in the last days there will be scoffers who will laugh at the truth and do every evil thing they desire.  This will be their argument: 'Jesus promised to come back, did he? Then where is he? Why, as far back as anyone can remember, everything has remained exactly the same since the world was first created.'
"They deliberately forget that God made the heavens by the word of His command, and He brought the earth up from the water and surrounded it with water.  Then He used the water to destroy the world with a mighty flood.  And God has also commanded that the heavens and the earth will be consumed by fire on the day of judgment, when ungodly people will perish.
"But you must not forget, dear friends, that a day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day.  The Lord isn't really being slow about His promise to return, as some people think.  No, He is being patient for your sake.  He does not want anyone to perish, so He is giving more time for everyone to repent.  But the day of the Lord will come as unexpectedly as a thief.  Then the heavens will pass away with a terrible noise, and everything in them will disappear in fire, and the earth and everything on it will be exposed to judgment.
"Since everything around us is going to melt away, what holy, godly lives you should be living!  You should look forward to that day and hurry it along - the day when God will set the heavens on fire and the elements will melt away in the flames.  But we are looking forward to the new heavens and new earth He has promised, a world where everyone is right with God."   2 Peter 3:3-13
Yes, Jesus is coming back!  Everything foretold in the Scriptures will unfold according to God's plan!  The return of King Jesus will be in fulfillment of what He has promised in the Word of God, the Bible!
Will you be ready to meet Him when He comes?
"The holy Scriptures have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus.  All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives.  It straightens us out and teaches us to do what is right.  It is God's way of preparing us in every way, fully equipped for every good thing God wants us to do." 2 Timothy 3:14-17
The Lord God has spoken sorrowful words of warning to the unbelieving, "To those who have forsaken the Lord, you will starve, but my servants will eat.  You will be thirsty, but they will drink.  You will be sad and ashamed, but they will rejoice.  You will cry in sorrow and despair, while my servants sing for joy.''
But to His servants, the Lord describes a joyful future in a New Jerusalem!  "Look!  I am creating new heavens and a new earth - so wonderful that no one will even think about the old ones anymore.  Be glad and rejoice forever in my creation!  I will create Jerusalem as a place of happiness.  I will rejoice in Jerusalem and delight in my people.  The sound of weeping and crying will be heard no more."  Isaiah 65:11-19
